Youngsville–A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Dolores Vice Grossie, 84, on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:00AM at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. William Schambough officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Anne Catholic Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 2:00PM untiltime of service on Friday, July 25, 2025. A Rosary will be prayed inthe funeral home on Thursday evening at 7:00PM.
A native and a lifelong resident of Youngsville, Dolores Vice Grossie was born on February 10, 1941 to Henry and Anna Demette Vice. Dolores passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 9:24AM at The Carpenter House of Lafayette.
A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by the family she so deeply loved. She was married to the love of her life, Anthony Grossie, for over 65 wonderful years. Together, they raised three children and built a beautiful legacy that now includes eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Dolores had a deep and abiding love for children, and she held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—who could always convince her to join in on their fun, including TikTok challenges and other playful adventures that brought joy to all.
Dolores found happiness in the simple, meaningful things—tending to her flower garden, filling her home with warmth through her incredible cooking, and especially celebrating her favorite holiday, Christmas, when she would prepare unforgettable meals for her loved ones. She and Anthony shared a passion for traveling, particularly enjoying time together on cruises, creating memories across the world. Dolores embraced every moment with gratitude and joy; she truly lived life to the fullest. Her vibrant spirit, nurturing heart, and unwavering love for her family will live on in the many lives she touched.
Dolores is survived by her husband of 65 years Anthony Grossie; children, Mike Grossie (Angie), Kevin Grossie (Chris), and Angella Gray (Jeff); grandchildren, Danielle Marceaux (Haley), Stephanie Hebert (Jared), Ashley Guidry (Sim), Jessica Guerin (Chad), Steven Grossie (Marci), Jared Gray, Justin Gray (Lexi), and Jessika Villalobos (Tomas), and 15 great-grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry, and Anna Demette Vice; siblings, Dalton Vice, Henry Lee Vice, and Dot Vice Duhon.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Mike Grossie, Kevin Grossie, Steven Grossie, Jared Gray, Justin Gray, and Sim Guidry.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jeff Gray, Jared Hebert, Tomas Villalobos, and Chad Guerin.
