Dawn Elizabeth Romero Domingue

Lafayette– A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Dawn Elizabeth Romero Domingue, age 56, on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, La. with Father William Schambough to serve as the Celebrant. Reading from scripture will be Matthew Domingue and Megan Ebling. Giftbearers will be Isla and Austen Ebling. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 5:00PM until 10:00PM, and resume on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 8:00AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 7:00PM.

A native of New Iberia, and resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Domingue passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Dawn enjoyed fishing, being a part of the Krewe of Rio, trips to the casino, reading romance novels and watching movies.  Most of all she loved being a mother, and grandmother, affectionately known as “Mimi”.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Mark Domingue of Lafayette; children, Megan Ebling and husband Tyler, Amanda Domingue, and Matthew Domingue all of Lafayette; granddaughters, Isla and Austen Ebling of Lafayette; siblings, Pamela R. Broussard and husband Pressley of Maurice, Robert Romero and wife Connie of New Iberia; niece and nephews, Scott Broussard, Lanie R. Condra, Jason Broussard, Joey Broussard, and Spencer Urquart; numerous great nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Jackie Broussard of Lafayette; and sister-in-law, Donna Domingue of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenwood and Jenny Romero; paternal grandparents, Sylvan and Amy Romero; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Lydia Babineaux.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Matthew Domingue, Scott Broussard, Jason Broussard, Joey Broussard, Tyler Ebling and Trevor Broussard.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Romero, Pressley Broussard, Spencer Urquart, and Kevin Broussard.

The family would like to thank Vermilion Healthcare Center and Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center for their care and compassion.
