New Iberia- A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends for Ms. Darlene T. Carpenter, 71, will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 10:00AM until 12:00PM.

A resident of New Iberia, Ms. Darlene passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025. She enjoyed the tranquility of knitting and crocheting as well as the excitement of cheering on her favorite football team, the New Orleans Saints. Above all, she loved her family and dear friends. She will be deeply missed by many.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Carpenter of Lafayette; and her sisters, Edith Touchet and her wife Linda Rodrigue, Brenda Touchet, and Geraldine “Dean” Oliva and her husband Edward.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus Touchet and Edith Romero Touchet.
