It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher “Chris” Suire, who departed this life on Monday, December 15, 2025, following a lengthy illness. Chris was born on Palm Sunday, April 6, 1952, to Luther and Lucille Gastinel Suire at Palms Hospital in Abbeville, Louisiana. From an early age, Chris possessed a special sense of humor and a natural ability to make people laugh. A true jokester at heart, he brought smiles and lightheartedness to everyone who knew him. Chris had a deep love for cooking and took great joy in sharing meals with family and friends. He was also passionate about travel, especially when it involved the open road. One of his greatest prides was his 1934 Chevy Pro Street Hot Rod, which he built himself. Traveling throughout the United States with his beloved car, Chris won multiple awards and earned admiration for his craftsmanship and dedication. Exceptionally talented and creative, Chris restored several vehicles over the years and became well known in automotive circles by the nickname “Crystal Ball,” a testament to his skill, vision, and reputation. His hands could bring new life to old machines, and his passion for his work was evident in every project he touched. Chris will be remembered for his laughter, creativity, generosity, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
