Erath - Funeral Services will be held for Ms. Carlis Stephanie Williams, 67, at 10:00AM, on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Frioux Funeral Home of Erath, with Brother Jon Robertson officiating.

Visiting hours will begin at 8:00AM at Frioux Funeral Home of Erath and continue until the time of service.

Carlis Stephanie Williams was a joyful person who could light up any room she entered. Known for her bright smile, lively spirit, and unforgettable personality, she brought happiness and laughter to family, friends, and everyone that knew her. Carlis embraced every moment with warmth and energy. She especially enjoyed dancing to music by her favorite King of Swing, Tucka. She also loved to cook buffet style meals and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Carlis loved reading her Bible and speaking about her Great God, Jehovah, and His Son, Jesus Christ, to anyone willing to listen and she never hesitated to share words of encouragement with others. In her free time, Carlis enjoyed getting her hair done, and picking out new clothing outfits. Her loving heart, joyful laughter, and vibrant presence will forever remain in the hearts.

Carlis is survived by her daughter , Natacha D. Rice of Abbeville, La ; 2 sons, Russell Rice, Jr. of Abbeville and Dwayne Rice and his wife Alma of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Roderick, Iris, Rashelle, Russtina, Stephanie, Carlis, Jakayla, D’shayla, Almatra, Dwayne, Jr., Napoleon Almatra, Almonya, Dwayne, De’camron, Dapoleon, Diego, Jayden, Kayden, Ry’Legend, Sophia, and Mychella; great-grandchildren, Iyla Rice, Angel Chavez, and Armando Chavez, Ka’Lani Vital, Amara Simon, Tayden Portalis, Amir Portalis, Kamiri Portalis; siblings, Joseph Collins Romero, Jr. and his wife Rachel of Jacksonville, FL, Francine Romero of New Orleans, Lanell Romero Parr and husband Michael of Houston, Tx, Brandy Romero of Houston Tx, Troy "BayBay" Williams and wife Aundery from Eunice, Darwin Williams from Kaplan, and Tina Roy from Columbia, SC; stepmother, Gloria Williams from Kaplan; special friends, Sandra Lynn Campbell and Ms. Amos; and two step daughters, Nyquila Levine and Russtinna Levine Baudoin, known as Mook and Tooky, who she appreciated for all they did for her. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Noah Williams, Jr.; mother, Anna Lou Mouton Romero; stepfather, Joseph Collins Romero, Sr, Step.-mother Emma Jean Williams; paternal grandparents, Noah Williams, Sr. and Dorothy Brailey Williams; maternal grandparents, Elias Mouton, Sr. and Alphonsine Cola Mouton; grandson, Justin Rice; nanny, Bertha Marie Williams Turner; Brother Noah Manny Williams lll and her cousin, Gwendolyn Rice; special friends; Ms. Bessie Moore and spiritual mother, Sister Alma Meaux.
