Belva Sonnier Vincent

Abbeville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Belva Vincent, 90, will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 07, 2025, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Picard officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Youngsville.

Visitation will begin at 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, October 06, 2025, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Abbeville with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume at 8:00AM on Tuesday, October 07, 2025, until the time of service.

Belle was a native of the LeBlanc Community and was a resident of Abbeville. She graduated from Cosmetology School in New Iberia and was the owner of her beauty salon for more than 35 years. She was a member of the LeBlanc Rosary Group and St. Theresa Altar Society. She had a love for gardening, making rosaries, flower arrangements, spending time with her friends at her rosary groups and cleaning the church. She was loved by everyone.

Belva is survived by her brother Roger (Sandra) Sonnier; her sisters-in-law Rena Andrus and Rose Vincent; nephews Shannon (Karen) Sonnier and Brandon (Natalie) Sonnier. Grand nephews and nieces Dr. Rhett (Lauren) Sonnier, Seth, Emma, Meredith, Molly and Mya Sonnier.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence “C.T.” Vincent; her parents Ursin and Edith Sonnier; sister, Irna Dell Sonnier.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Sonnier, Brandon Sonnier, Dr. Rhett Sonnier, Seth Sonnier, Brennan Broussard and Reese Domingue.

Frioux-David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity Street (337) 893-3777 will be in charge of the arrangements.
