Alton Paul Royer

Abbeville - Memorial Services for Mr. Alton Paul Royer will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at  St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery on the old Kaplan Highway in Abbeville, Louisiana.

A resident of Maurice, Mr. Alton Paul passed away on January 19, 2021. He was a master wood worker and also enjoyed bee keeping and gardening.  Mr. Royer was a Chief Warrant Officer 3 in the United States Army and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 after twenty-two years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Ivy Royer of Maurice; his father, Kenneth Ray Royer of Sacramento, CA; his daughter, Samantha Nicole Killingsworth and her husband Stephen of Baton Rouge; his son, Brian Matthew Royer of Maurice; his granddaughter, Eloise Mae Killingsworth; his godson, Joey Royer; his nephew Josh Royer; his brother, Joseph Royer and his wife Lori of Maurice; his sisters, Christine Royer of Abbeville, and Katherine Royer of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gallet.
