LOVING WIFE, MOTHER, AND GRANDMOTHER Jeanerette"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Farris J. Guillotte, the former Carmen Landry, 100, of Jeanerette will be celebrated on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Ed Degeyter will serve as celebrant. Serving as gift bearers are Kieran Olivier, Ruth and Kelly Rozas, Catherine Douglass, and Emma Catlett. Lectors providing liturgical readings are Laurie Catlett, Jan Larsen, and Beth Douglass. Interment will follow in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 9:00 A.M. until service time in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. A native of Loreauville and longtime resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Guillotte passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 12:10 P.M. in a New Iberia hospital. Affectionately known to all who knew her as Cam , Mrs. Guillotte was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Church and a lifetime member of Catholic Daughters of America. She was blessed with a very sharp mind, keeping up to date on local and national current events. Mrs. Guillotte loved to travel, was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed reading. Survivors include her daughters, Gaynell Rozas and husband, Patrick of Houston, TX, Catherine Andrus and husband, Richard of Lafayette, and Patricia Telotta and husband, Anthony, Jr. of Jeanerette; son-in-law, Herrin Ducote of Cotton Port; special friend and adopted daughter, Nannie Bell Wormser of California; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Mrs. Guillotte in death were her husband, Farris J. Guillotte; parents, Clarville and Elmira Barras Landry; daughter, Beryl Ducote; brothers, Sylvain and Joe Landry; sisters, Maggie Simoneaud, Pauline Crochet, Lelia Moore, and Marie Broussard; and grandson, Mark Telotta. Serving as pallbearers are Mark and Ryan Olivier, Jude Telotta, Gerard and Guy Rozas, and Chris Catlett. Named as honorary pallbearers are Eric and Christopher Larsen, Andrew Douglass, and Joseph and Josh ODell. The family would like to thank the staffs of Maison Teche and Iberia Medical Center for the loving care given to Mrs. Guillotte. They would also like to extend their great appreciation to Dr. Jose Mata for taking such good care of Mrs. Guillotte for so long. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette has been entrusted with arrangements.
