Lafayette- Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 7pm at David Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette for William "Eric" Cockrell, 29. The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, December 5, 2006 from 3pm till the time of service. Eric was born in Lafayette on April 25, 1977 and went to be with the Lord at his residence in Lafayette on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at 1 pm. He is survived by his father, Billy Roy Cockrell and his mother Edeltraud Edie Schmidt Cockrell, both of Lafayette; two sisters, Gabriela Stanley of Columbus, Ohio, and Rebecca Cockrell of North Dakota; and one brother, Klaus Cockrell of Carencro, LA.
