James H. Geer

June 5, 1919 — January 8, 2007

New Iberia " Memorial services for Mr. James H. Geer, 87, of New Iberia will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at 2:00 PM in the Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. David Denton officiating. There will be no visitation prior to services. Mr. Geer passed away at 11:05 AM on Monday, January 08, 2007, at his residence. A native of Flint, Michigan and a resident of New Iberia, he owned and operated G.R. Engine Service and Gas Compressors. He served in the Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands during World War II . He loved camping, fishing, wood working and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lois Bryant Geer of New Iberia; daughters, Jimmi Gardner and husband, Michael of Grand Prairie, TX and Jerri Geer of Seattle, WA; sister, Mrs. Mabel Alden of Flint, MI; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Geer was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Nita Hallead Geer. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
