Survivors include his wife Ella Mae Trahan Gerard of New Iberia, three brothers; Roy Babin of Sunnyside, Georgia, Leroy Babin of Broussard, La. and Paul Babin of Youngsville, La., one sister; Marie B. Collins of Franklin, La. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; Clemence Gerard Babin and three sisters; Lillian R. DeBarge, Joyce Cooper and Pauline Babin.
Donations can be made to the family to defray funeral cost.
David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
