Loving Mother, Grandmother and sister. New Iberia - Private services will be held at a later date for Mrs. Simon Menard, Sr. the former Elina Simon, Age 84, who died Wednesday March 21, 2007 at 10:10PM in a local hospital. Survivors include one daughter Jeanette M. Sherville and husband Sam of St. Martinville, two sons; Simon Menard Jr. and wife Delores of New Iberia and James Menard and wife Verline of Abbeville, sisters; Elzina S. Tabor of Breaux Bridge, Augustine S. Hebert and Shriley S. Douet both of St. Martinville and Lorena S. Laperouse of Cypress Island, La. and one brother; Milton Simon of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Assay and Armortine Laviolette Simon, two brothers; Nicholas and Wilton Simon and two sisters; Agnes S. Babin and Mabel S. Delcambre. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
