Erath- Funeral Services for Verline Marie Suire, 67, will be held on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 4:00PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Monday, March 26, 2007 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

Ms. Suire, a native and resident of Erath, died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 9:00PM at East Ridge Nursing Center of Abbeville. Verline had Down Syndrome but her family learned that love, joy and compassion arent limited to the folks who look, act and think just like the rest of us. She has been a part of creating more happiness than any other single member of our family. Her family would like to thank the entire staff at East Ridge Nursing Home, Dr. John Thibodeaux, for the care that was given to their sister, and Hospice of Acadiana.

She is survived by her mother, Agnes Theriot Suire of Erath; two brothers, Roland Suire and his wife Mary of Erath and Richard Suire and his wife Beverly of Erath; two sisters, Jeanette S. Delcambre and her husband Irvin L. of Erath and Melissa S. Hebert and her husband Maurice of Erath; seven nieces; four nephews; twelve great-nieces and nephews; and four step great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Eton Suire; her brother, Russell Suire; and a nephew, Keith Suire.

Pallbearers will be Richmond Suire, James Suire, Kent Suire, Jody Suire, Brud Delcambre, and Kelly Boullion.

David Funeral Home of Erath will be handling arrangements.
