Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Alvin Landry, Jr., the former Harriet Rose Choate, 61, on Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008 at 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and resume on Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 6:30 PM.

A native of Patoutville and a resident of Jeanerrette, Mrs. Landry died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at 5:05 PM in a New Iberia hospital. She loved Arts & Crafts, Plants, Hummingbirds and most of all her family.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Landry, Jr. of Jeanerette; her sons, Timothy J. Landry and his wife Catherine of New Iberia and Kirk A. Landry and his wife Sandra of Jeanerette; her grandchildren, Heather N. Derouen and her husband Jason of Jeanerette, Sadie L. Landry and her fiancee Jamie J. Curtis, Tiffany M. Hardy and her husband Adrien M. all of New Iberia, Emilie M. Landry and Raquel L. Landry both of Jeanerette; her great grandchildren, Scot M. Man Brasseaux, Jr. of Jeanerette, Elijah M. Bean Hardy of New Iberia and expecting 2 great grandchildren; her brother, Horace A. Choate and his wife Mary of Jeanerette and her brother-in-law, Terry J. Landry and his wife Donna of Prairieville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace William Choate and Harriet Trimble Choate.

Pallbearers will be Timothy J. Landry, Kirk A. Landry, Adrien M. Hardy, Jason A. Derouen, Brady J. LaRive, James LaRive and Terry J. Landry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie J. Curtis, Chad M. Hargis and Zachary Dupre.
