Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Verna Robicheaux Begnaud, 95, will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard with Fr. Louis Richard officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 12:00PM until 9:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM, and will continue on Monday, January 21, 2008 from 8:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Begnaud, a native and a resident of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 7:15AM at her residence. She loved flowers and helping her husband with dairy farming.

She is survived by two sons, Alton Paul Fat Begnaud and his wife Maude and Allan Pookie Begnaud; twelve grandchildren, Sadie Credeur, Charles Bubba Begnaud, Jeffrey Begnaud, Anthony Tony Begnaud, Darlene Bourque, Cindy Begnaud, Linda Landry, Lance Begnaud, Sharline Cline, Neal Begnaud, Nancy Trahan all of Lafayette, and Edie Ann Credeur of Duson; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Helen Begnaud; and thanks to her special friend Verna Leger for her care and love.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Camille Begnaud; her parents, Freeman Robicheaux and Isabella Alleman Robicheaux; a son, Jerry Noel Begnaud; a daughter-in-law, Jan Begnaud; and two brothers, A.J. Robicheaux and Wilma Robicheaux.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Begnaud, Anthony Tony Begnaud, Neal Begnaud, Sr., Ray Trahan, Lance Begnaud, Sr. and Tyson Paul Landry.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Bubba Begnaud, Ashton Landry, Tyler Trahan, Neal Begnaud, Jr., Lance Begnaud, Jr. and Jake Begnaud.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette will be handling arrangements.
