LOVING MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER Jeanerette"Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Necess Savoie, Jr., the former Mary Guillotte, 100, will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Jesu Radinatham will officiate. Interment will follow in Loisel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Savoie passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 4:25 P.M. in a Jeanerette care facility. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Savoie was dearly loved by her entire family, who fondly called her Bacon . She loved watching Lawrence Welk on television, and she looked forward to having coffee with her sisters on Sunday afternoons. Mrs. Savoie was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Survivors include her sons, Benjamin Savoie and wife, Leona of Jeanerette, Russell Savoie of Lafayette, and Curtis Savoie of Jeanerette; daughter, Audry Bordelon of Marksville; 18 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding Mrs. Savoie in death were her husband, Joseph Necess Savoie, Jr.; parents, Ulysse and Zilda Hebert Guillotte; daughter, Shirley Adams; sisters, Mabel Broussard, Gertrude Bergeron, Thelma LeJeune, and Emerite Hebert; and brother, Ulysse Guillotte. Serving as pallbearers are Bert Savoie, Ben Savoie, Jr., Joey Hebert, Kyle Pirnie, Ricky Gravois, and Nicholas Gravois. Named as honorary pallbearers are Dr. N.C. Boudreaux, Dr. Steve Boudreaux, Dr. Francis Bonin, Carol Gravois, Jake Savoie, and Chase Hebert. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost Street, 276-5151, is in charge of arrangements.
