Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Douglas Doug Royer, 61, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, LA with Fr. Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Youngsville beginning Friday, October 24, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM by Mrs. Jane Savoy. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 8:00 AM until the time of services. Internment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery in Youngsville.
Mr. Royer, a native of Jennings and a resident of Youngsville passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008 in Youngsville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, operating heavy equipment and loved going to the casino.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Miller Royer of Youngsville; daughter, Jennifer R. Arceneaux and her husband Anthony of Crowley; two sons, Jeffery Michael Royer and Jeremy Paul Royer both of Lafayette; three brothers and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Royer and Anna Credeur, and two sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Broussard, Toby Credeur, Mark Viator, Jeff Royer, Jeremy Royer, and Dustin Estilette.
David Funeral Home of Youngsville at 201 Lafayette St. (337)856-4155 will be handling the arrangements.
