Erath- Private services for Maurice J. Primeaux, Sr., 91, will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Kaplan Cemetery. Mr. Primeaux, a native of Kaplan and a resident of Erath, died on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 12:00PM at his residence in Erath. He loved trail riding and, for a long time, was the oldest rider. He is survived by his wife, Willie M. Primeaux of Erath; a son, Maurice Boogie Primeaux, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN; a daughter, Loretta Butch Trahan of Houma; a very dear stepdaughter, Vanessa Derouen of St. Martinville; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donatien Primeaux and Tessa Geoffrey Primeaux; three brothers, Paul Primeaux, Adam Primeaux and Sidney Primeaux; and five sisters, Euphemie, Euphema Rogers, Estella Vincent, Eula LeBlanc and Nellis Primeaux. David Funeral Home of Erath will be handling arrangements.
