Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Joan Ostberg Tassin, 69, will be held at 1:00PM Saturday July 28, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard with Father Louis Richard officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday July 28, 2007 from 9:00AM until 12:30PM at David Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Tassin, a native of Camden, New Jersey and a resident of Broussard passed away July 26, 2007, at 7:00AM at her residence. She is survived by her son, Raymond Michael Gabriel and his wife Suzanne of Jacksonville, Fl.; her two daughters, Nancy Hebert and her husband Curtis of New Orleans, Linda McJimsey and her husband Bryan of Broussard, two brothers; Donald Ostberg of New Jersey and Kenneth Ostberg of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Sigfried and Dorothy Hannah Westcott Ostberg. David Funeral Home of Lafayette is handling the arrangements.
