Loreauville " Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Gale "Myeaux" Meyers, 55, Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Mario Romero officiating.

Visitation will begin on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007 at 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and reopen Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007 at 9:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 PM.

A native of New Iberia and a resident of Loreauville, Mr. Meyers died on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 at 1:31 PM in a New Iberia hospital. He was a welder for Urys Manufacturing in Loreauville for 16 years. He love hunting and sitting on his swing watching his grandchildren play.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Vaughn Meyers; his children, Travis Anthony Meyers and his wife Tiffany and April Ann Meyers; his grandchildren, Madison Meyers, John Paul Comeaux and Micah Meyers all of Loreauville; his brothers, Donel Meyers of New Iberia, Michael Meyers and Steve Meyers both of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lauri Meyers, Sr. and Mary DeRouen Meyers; his brother, Lauri Jay Meyers and his granddaughter, Laura Comeaux.

Pallbearers will be Pete Taylor, Dale Vaughn, Si Theriot, Bill Gonsoulin, Britt Sonnier and Shawn Touchet.

Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Meyers, Jay Gonsoulin, Ernest Estave, Sr., E. J. Estave, Donel Meyers, Steve Meyers, Michael Meyers and David Louviere.

David Funeral Home of Loreauville is in charge of arrangements.
