Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. John Moneaux, the former Lola Boutte, 88, will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Greg Chauvin officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath beginning Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 3:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 5:00 PM and 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, November 24, 2008 from 8:00AM until the time of the Service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
Mrs. Moneaux a native of Youngsville, and a resident of Abbeville died at 9:30 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Moneaux was a loving mother and grandmother, and was a former member of Come Lord Jesus .
She is survived by her children, Shirley Gaspard of Cow Island, Beverly Reaux of Erath, Nerry Moneaux of Baton Rouge, Keith Moneaux of Erath, and Vicky Leger of Erath; as well as fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Moneaux; her parents Leopold and Adoliska Gary Boutte, twelve brothers and sisters, three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers will be Howard Reaux; Keith Moneaux, Jr.; Dustin Stelly; Caleb Rung; Robie Choate and Jocob Primeaux.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Nerry Moneaux and Keith Moneaux, Sr.
David Funeral home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St., (337) 937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
