Loving Mother and Grandmother Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Vernice J. LeBlanc, Sr. the former Mildred Legnon, Age 85, at 11:00AM Thursday November 8, 2007 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday November 7, 2007 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM and again Thursday from 8:00AM until time of service. She died Monday November 6, 2007 at 11:30AM in a local hospital. A native of St. Mary Parish Mrs. LeBlanc had been a longtime resident of Jeanerette. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and she loved dancing and country music. Survivors include three daughters; Audry L. Horn and husband Matt, Mary L. Schilling and husband Jimmie and April L. Cranche and husband Ray, two sons; Jesse LeBlanc and wife Florine and Donald LeBlanc and wife Barbara, grandchildren; Tina Becnel and husband Bill, Donna Schilling and husband Gary, Detra Buteau and husband Steve, Kevin LeBlanc, Sr. and wife Jodi, Jason Leblanc and wife Rachel, Sharon Landry, Mark Horn and wife Lori, Luke Horn and wife Amelia, John Horn and wife Ann Marie, Kelly Louviere and husband Chad, Sara Blanchard and husband Joey, Jeannine Prine and husband Patrick, Tee J. Schilling and wife Chasity, Brittany Baudoin and husband Grant and Macey Baudoin, great grandchildren; B.J. Becnel, Krista Becnel, Jill Schilling, Trey Buteau, Andrew Buteau, Kevin LeBlanc, Jr., Noah LeBlanc, Sage LeBlanc, Tyler LeBlanc, Lynzi LeBlanc, Heather Derouen and husband Jason, Sadie Landry, Tiffany Landry, Coy Horn, Caleb Horn, Luke Horn Jr., Joel Horn, Danine Horn, Brianne Horn, Nicklas Horn, Lexie Louviere, Blake Louviere, Alex Blanchard, Karlie Blanchard, Mason Prine, Brandon Prine, Austin Schilling, Skylar Schilling and Koryn Switzer;one great- great grandchild; Elijah Landry and a daughter-in-law Helen LeBlanc. She was preceded in death by her husband; Vernice J. LeBlanc, Sr., one son; Vernice J. LeBlanc, Jr., her parents Amos and Mary Agnes Stevens Legnon and one grandson Wade LeBlanc.
