Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Lydia- Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Lester Lasseigne, the former Minnie V. Howard, Age 87, at 11:00AM Monday, January 28, 2008 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Richard Fabre officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Mausoleum. Visitation will be Sunday January 27, 2008 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM by Father Donovan Labbe. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00AM until service time. She died Friday January 25, 2008 at 12:35PM in a local nursing home.

A native Centerville and longtime resident of Lydia Mrs. Lasseigne was an avid bowler. She enjoyed gardening, baking and picking and peeling pecans. She and Mr. Lester were married for 61 years.

Survivors include her husband; Lester Lasseigne, formerly of Lydia and now a resident of New Iberia, one son; Tras Lasseigne and wife Karen of New Iberia, one brother; L.A.Howard and wife Marie of Franklin, one sister; Bonnie Watkins of New Iberia one granddaughter; Brandi L. Dore and husband Allan of Lydia, one grandson; Brennan Lasseigne of New Iberia and a great grandson; Maddox Dore of Lydia, one sister-in-law Lorita Howard of Lydia and one brother-in-law Harris Jolet of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Sadie Stroud Howard, a bother; Chester Howard, a sister; Juanita Nita Jolet and a brother-in-law; George Watkins.

Pallbearers will be Brennan Lasseigne, Brandi Dore, Allan Dore, Jeffrey Jolet, Ross Bonin and Monte Howard.
