Anna Blanchard Guyote

Mrs. Guyote passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 11:20AM. She was a native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia for the last 39 years.

Mrs Guyote was the daughter of Armand and Olympe Blanchard. Her brothers Oneil, Stanley, Lloyd, Albert, and sisters, Cecile Blanchard and Odette Trimble are deceased. Mrs Guyote was a housewife and loving spouse of Tarlton (Tom) Guyote, (Lt Col, USAF, retired) deceased.

Married 61 years, she raised six children alone in her younger days while her husband served his country overseas.

Anna or Mem, as she was known to friends, was a member of our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, serving as a reader and catechism instructor. She instilled in her children a love of art, music, literature, and education. She loved sewing and keeping her home picture perfect.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband Tom, two lovely daughters Debra Guyote and Suzanne Gautreaux and daughters-in-law Marilyn Guyote and Darleen Guyote and granddaughter Michelle Guyote.

Survivors include sons Michael Guyote (Lt Col USAF retired), and wife Laura of Monument, Colorado, Paul Guyote of New Iberia, daughters Jeanne Vincent and her husband Gerald of Monument, Colorado, and Kathleen Guyote of New Iberia. Grandchildren include Joshua and Christen Guyote of New Iberia, Jacob and Paige Gautreaux of Lafayette, and Nasya and Micah Vincent of Monument, Colorado, son-in-law Tom Gautreaux of Lafayette, and four great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Guyote, Michael Guyote, Cristen Guyote, Joshua Guyote, Terry Trimble and Richard Trimble.

Interment is in the Holy Family Mausoleum.
