Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary being recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Sunday from 9:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.
Mrs. LeBlanc passed away on Thursday, February 05, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in a New Iberia care facility.
A native of Belle Place, Mrs. LeBlanc was a longtime resident of Loreauville.She was first and foremost a homemaker. She retired as a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service, and also enjoyed working as a voting poll commissioner. Mrs. LeBlanc enjoyed gardening and cooking and loved her daily exercise of walking. Her greatest joy in life, however, was spending time with and caring for her family.
Survivors include her sons, Carl Jimmy LeBlanc and wife, Gwen Poopay of Loreauville, David Harry LeBlanc and wife, Janell of New Iberia, and Glen Charles LeBlanc and wife, Melanie of New Iberia; grandchildren, Fran Lanclos of Loreauville, Lanette Romero of New Iberia, Ryan LeBlanc of Lafayette, Angela LeBlanc of New Iberia, Brittany LeBlanc of New Iberia, and Kristen LeBlanc of New Iberia; great-grandchildren, Camron Lanclos of Loreauville, Colin Lanclos of Loreauville, Phil Lanclos of Lafayette, Caleb Romero of New Iberia, Macie Romero of New Iberia, and Ethan Romero of New Iberia. Mrs. LeBlanc is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mrs. LeBlanc in death were her husband, Harry J. LeBlanc; parents, Louis Rick and Eve Verret Decuir; grandchildren, Shane, Nicholas, and Alexis LeBlanc; sister, Yvonne D. Falcon; and brother, Lester Decuir.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mrs. LeBlancs family and friends.
