Gene Monroe Pearson

A native of Enid, OK and a resident of Youngsville Mr. Pearson died at 8:30PM on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at his residence. He served his country in the Merchant Marines during WWII, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. One of his favorite past times was restoring cars.

He is survived by his wife of 61years, Mary Bridges Pearson of Youngsville; two sons, Phil and his wife Rene Pearson of Broussard, and Jim and his wife Angie Broussard Pearson of Enid, OK; a daughter, Kathy Carmichael and her husband Mike of Edmond, OK; ten grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Monroe and Bulah Roth Pearson; a son, Michael Pearson; a daughter, Mary Fluhr; a brother, Mryle Pearson; and a sister, Edna Mae Johnson.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tim Wedel, Rob Fluhr, Michael Pearson, Dr. Joseph Pearson, Dylan Pearson, Robert Carmichael.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337) 837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
