Kurt Anthony Romero

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Kurt A. Romero, Age 58, at 3:00PM Saturday April 11, 2009 at David Funeral Home Chapel with FatherMike Arnaudand Reverend Ed Downs officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday April 10, 2009 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Romero died Thursday April 9, 2009 at 1:00AM at his residence. Mr. Romero taught CCD for 13 years and prison ministry from 1980-1987. He was a nursing home minister from 1980-present and a lay minister from 1999-present.


Survivors include his wife, Kathyleen Castille Romero of New Iberia; one son, Bartholomew Romero and wife Nichole of Lafayette; two daughters, Melanie R. Louviere and husband Craig of Lydia, Leah Theresa Romero of Morgan City; one brother, Clark Romero of New Iberia; four sisters, Claire Duplechien of Biloxi, MS., Patricia Kidd of New Iberia, Cecile Haley of Luling, and Myra Champagne of Galliano; and three grandchildren; Travis, Trent, and Trista Louviere.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Clarence P. Romero and Gertrude Resweber Romero.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
