Loving Mother and Grandmother Coteau " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Jules Maturin, the former Elaine La Noir Touchet, Age 80, at 2:30 PM Tuesday January 27, 2009 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday January 26, 2009 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Youngsville and resident of Coteau Mrs. Maturin died Saturday January 24, 2009 at 8:45PM in a local health care facility. Survivors include three daughters; Brenda Romero and husband LeRoy and Cheryl David and husband Eddie all of Coteau and Susie Delahoussaye of St. Martinville, one son; Randy Maturin and fiance Liz Sherman of New Iberia, one sister; Evelyn Carlin of Coteau, 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jules Maturin, parents;Adam Touchet and Adia Toups Touchet Maturin,her step father Oje Maturin , one daughter; Gloria Maturin, two brothers; Willis Touchet and Wallis Maturin, one sister; Louise Lasseigne, a son-in-law Johnny Maturin and a great grandson; Austin Arceneaux. Pallbearers will be Randy, Timmy, Cody and Chance Maturin, Eddie David and Jack Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Romero, Rylee, Brandon, Braton, Baylee and Anatole Maturin.
