Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for James Warren Keller, 71, on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patotuville.Visitation will be on Monday, January 18, 2010 from 8:00 AM until services and a rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 AM. A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Patoutville, Mr. Keller died on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 12:10 AM at his residence. He was a graduate of St. Peters College in New Iberia and the University of Lafayette where he received his degree in Architecture. He started his career with a team of architects that designed the New Orleans, Louisiana Superdome. He then went to work as a civilian employee with the military and designed military housing, military hospitals and military R & R locations in Japan, Korea and San Diego, CA. He is survived by his ½ brother, Gary I. Keller of Lafayette; ½ sister, Janet Keller Welsh of Baton Rouge; several cousins and his horse, Macaque Deux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Landry I. Keller and Evelyn Patout. Pallbearers will be Mark Patout, John Fontane, Jerome Fitch, Mike Fontane, Dino Fitch and Jacques Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Fontane, James Ory Brown, Coy Fitch, Jayc Fitch, Mitch Hebert, Peter Patout, Christopher Patout, Zachary Fitch and Matt Fitch. In lieu of flowers the family request donation to the Lydia Cancer Society, P.O. Box 713 Lydia, LA 70569.
