Charenton- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Samuel J. Sammy Glorioso, Jr., the former Myrtle Myrt Landry, age 74, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 1:00PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton, with Fr. Thomas Vu and Deacon Douglas Hebert officiating. Visitation will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from 8:30AM until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Mausoleum. A native of Jeanerette and resident of Charenton, Mrs. Glorioso passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 8:40PM in a local hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and Catholic. Myrt was a member of the Charenton Rosary Group and she loved reading her bible. Mrs. Glorioso is survived by her daughters, Vickie Glorioso of Lafayette; Mary Ann Hebert and husband, J.P. of Franklin; and Kathy Burdett and husband, Ty of Franklin; her son, Chris Glorioso and wife Shawn of Berwick; her devoted cousin, Carol Glorioso of Charenton; her grandchildren, Scott Burdett, Brandon Burdett and Christian Glorioso, all of Franklin; six step-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Glorioso was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Sammy Glorioso, Jr., her son, Scott Glorioso, her parents, Fernand Landry and Clothilde Boudreaux Landry, brothers, Raymond Landry, Roland Landry and Donald Landry, sisters, June Landry, Helen Delaune, Ethel Skyles, Judy Landry and Elaine Landry. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Glorioso, Christian Glorioso, Ty Burdett, Scott Burdett, Brandon Burdett and J.P. Hebert.
