New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Louis Buddy Romero III, Age 59, at 11:00AM Tuesday April 20, 2010 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Father Donald Pelous officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday April 19, 2010 from 3:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Buddy died Friday April 16, 2010 at 7:20PM at his residence in New Iberia. He was a technician for Romero Music Company for many years. He was a member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church. Buddy also played drums for various bands including Cypress, Blue Merlot, Wayne Toups, Sammy Kershaw, Kip Sonnier, The Roadrunners and Joe Douglas. Survivors include his wife Deanna Menard Romero of New Iberia; a daughter, Rachel Burnett of Dallas; Texas; two sons, Tommy J. and Rusty L Romero and wife Elizabeth all of New Iberia; brothers, Gerald Romero, Gregory Romero and Wife Rowena and Jack Romero all of New Iberia and Benny Romero of Rayne; sisters Gayle Fontenot and husband Maurice Jr and Sandra Courrege and husband Bert all of New Iberia; grandchildren, Amber, Raven, Logan, Martin Jr., Teigen, McKenzie, DeTroyrius, Kyle, Aidan and Jackson and a great grandchild, Kaden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis B. Romero, Jr. and Florence Duplantis Romero, a son, Louis B. Romero IV and two sisters, Connie Migues and Carla Romero. Pallbearers will be Rusty, Teigen and Gerald Romero Jr., Martin Burnett, Treg Murphy and Lionel Fontenot. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan, Tommy, Scotty, Aidan and Kyle Romero, Jackson Burnett, Martin Burnett Jr. and DeTroyrius Collins. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St. New Iberia, La.
