Paul D. Provost

Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Paul D. Provost Age 83, at 12 Noon Saturday August 7, 2010 at David Funeral Home Chapel in Jeanerette with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30AM until service time. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army. A native of Erath and current resident of Lafayette, Mr. Provost died Tuesday July 27, 2010 at 5:25PM in a Lafayette health care facility. He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved sports and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. The family would especially like to thank Hospice of Acadiana for their loving care. Survivors include his children, Patrick Provost of Carencro, Jerry P. Provost of Scott, Michael J. Provost of Houma, Daniel Provost of New Iberia, Marion P. Reeves of Lafayette and Barbara P. Williams of Mississippi; two brothers, Lester Provost of New Iberia and Dave Provost of Lafayette, Cecile Chapman of California and Emily Hardin of Orange, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Philomene Hebert Provost; one daughter, Paula M. Provost; his parents, Annavile and Nola Broussard Provost; one brother, Hymel Provost and a grandchild, Dillon Provost. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
