Lafayette - A Mass for Louis Joseph Valentine Breaux Jr., 86, will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 11:00AM with Fr. Keith Landry officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, April 23, 2010, from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 24, 2010, beginning at 8:00AM until the time of services. A native of Crowley, raised in Church Point, and a resident of Lafayette, Louis passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 6:58PM at Lafayette General Hospital. Mr. Breaux was the former state President of the Affiliated Blind of Louisiana. He was also the FHA Manager for United Credit and Guaranty Bank of Baton Rouge. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Breaux of Lafayette; two sons, Keith Louis Breaux of Youngsville and Kevin Joseph Breaux and his wife Julie of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Michelle Breaux Mayronne of Covington, and Bonnie Breaux Hurst of Covington; three sisters, Evelyn Fontenot of Church Point, Bobby Scarbrock and her husband Jack of Lafayette, and Mary Louise Turner and her husband Billy of Dauphin Island, AL; 12 grandchildren, Lauren E. Harper and her husband Jessie, Andrew Breaux, Laine E. Mayronne, Bryson J. Mayronne, Ian M. Mayronne, Bradley G. Mayronne, Kaitlynn E. Breaux, Adam F. Breaux, Billy B. Hurst, Candace E. Hurst, Amanda A. Guidry and her husband Daniel, and Mason J. Hurst; and three great grandchildren , Amelia G. Harper, Kaydence E. Hurst, and Cameron M. Guidry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis J. Valentine Breaux and Sophie Ann Prejean; his daughter,Elizabeth Ann Breaux; and his brother, Paul Breaux. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Breaux, Bryson Mayronne, Ian Mayronne, Bradley Mayronne, Billy Hurst and Mason Hurst. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Harper, Daniel Guidry and Adam Breaux. David Funeral Home of Lafayette, (337) 837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
