Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Leonce Junies "T-Mule" LeMaire, 83, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Broussard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A native of Kaplan and a resident of Erath Mr. LeMaire died at 8:20AM on Friday, April 30, 2010 at his residence. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy; retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation after over 28 years of service; was the Fire Chief of the Erath Volunteer Fire Department from 1972 to 1976, where he was still an honorary member; and enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and his daily trip to Moo-Noos. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Menard LeMaire of Erath; two daughters, Elizabeth Liz Richard and her husband Michael of Erath and Aleata LeMaire of Houston; two grandchildren, Heath Richard and his wife Maria of Erath and Michelle Landry and her husband Brad of Erath; and six great grandchildren, Kaitlin Richard, Hanna Richard, Oni Clement, Ava Cavallero, Madison Landry, and Mollie Landry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonce LeMaire and Aurora Richard Vincent; his first wife, Lorena Dubois LeMaire, and a brother, Curtis LeMaire. Members of the Erath Volunteer Fire Department will be serving as pallbearers. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St. (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
