New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Neely C. Brown the former Marie Louise Broussard, Age 99, at 1:00PM Saturday August 7, 2010 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday August 6, 2010 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Brown died Thursday August 5, 2010 at 5:30AM in a New Iberia health care facility. She attended school at Sacred Heart Academy in Washington D.C. and Abbage Aun Bois in Paris, France. Survivors include three sons, Charles and wife Marlene Talley Brown and Richard Brown of New Iberia and Donald and wife Carol Leach Brown of Lumberton, Texas; grandsons, Brian W. and wife Helga Eixele Fair of New Orleans, Christopher C. and wife Gina Marie Rivalgia Brown of Youngsville and Nicholas A. Brown of Lumberton, Texas; great grandsons, Christopher Charles Brown II and Matthew Joseph Brown both of Youngsville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neely C. Brown; a daughter, Marie Clair Brown Fair; her father, former U.S. Senator Edwin S. Broussard; her mother, the former Marie Clair Patout and five brothers, Felix Patout Broussard, Edwin S. Broussard, J. Dorville Broussard, George Patout Broussard and Eugene D. Broussard. Pallbearers will be Charles E., Richard J., Donald A., Christopher C. and Nicholas A. Brown and Brian W. Fair. Honorary pallbearers will be George P. Broussard, Jr. and Al Pitts.
