Duson - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Earl Joseph Young, Jr., 52, will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton with Father Edward Duhon officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and reopen on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 8:00 AM until services. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 7:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Milton. A native of Norfolk, VA and resident of Duson, Earl passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Mindy; his three daughters, Jennifer, Hilary and Bailey Young; step-children, Trent Trahan, Kayla and Taylor Arwood; his mother, Leona Young; sister, Janice Currie; and niece who was raised as his sister, Katrina Janette. He is also leaving behind five grandchildren, Hailey, Dylan, Alyssa, Gavin and Cole. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl J. Young, Sr.; and his sister, Sheila Patterson. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Janette, Colby Denais, Glen LeBlanc and Michael LaHaye. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Denais and Garrett Janette.
