Lafayette " A private Celebration of Life service for Charles Chuck F. Thacker, 58, was held at 11:00AM on Friday, May 29, 2009 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Bro. Ted Standley officiating. A native of Alabama, former resident of the Lafayette area, and current resident of Many, Chuck passed away at 12:35PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at a local hospital. He loved fishing and riding motorcycles. He is survived by his loving wife, Belinda R. Thacker of Many; his daughters, Melissa of Lafayette and Jennifer of Texas; his mother, Billie Jean Reed of Arkansas; his sisters, Sherrie, Barbara and Tonzie, all of Arkansas; his grandsons, Brian and Evan, both of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Thacker and his mother-in-law, Virginia Rodgers. David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Hwy., (337) 837-9887, is in charge of the arrangements.
