Joseph Preston J.P. Boudreaux

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Joseph J.P. Boudreaux, age 89 at 11:00AM Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Derise officiating. Serving as gift bearers will be Laura Labiche and Glenda Joubert, scripture readings will be read by Ted Migues.Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites to be conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982. Visitation will begin Friday, August 27, 2010 from 11:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until the time of service.

A native of Delcambre and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Boudreaux passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 1:05PM at his residence. Mr. Boudreaux was a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of Knights of Columbus Council #3425. Mr. Boudreaux enjoyed doing yardwork, cooking, baking and loved to spend time with his family and friends. His favorite pastime was watching sports; especially, football and baseball.

Mr. Boudreaux is survived by his wife, Doris Dot Migues Forster Boudreaux, his son, Raymond Forster and wife Paula Lalumandier Forster, his sister, Irene Joyce Lancon, all of New Iberia; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Boudreaux was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Boudreaux and Lydia LeLeux Boudreaux, his brother, Dalton Boudreaux, and his sisters, Helen Hargroder and Louella Richard.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Richard, Jr., Jimmy Hargroder, Niles Landry, Jonathon Lopez, Ben Lopez and Marshal Lopez.

Honorary pallbearer will be Julie Lopez.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Robert Hankenhof and his staff, V.A. Physician Dr. Mark St. Cyr, Hospice of Acadiana and AAA Home Health for the care given to Mr. Boudreaux.
