Jeanerette - Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Howard Broussard, the former Mary Landry, 83, on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Entombment will follow in St. John Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and reopen on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday at 6:30 PM. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Broussard died on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 4:00 PM in a St. Martinville nursing facility. She was a member of the Jeanerette Quilting Club. She is survived by her daughters, Lori B. Schoen and her husband Thomas and Jennifer B. Derouen and her husband Jacque all of Jeanerette; her son, Jason Jude Broussard of Iota; her brothers, Ulysse Landry of Jeanerette and Allen Landry of DeQuincy and her sister, Myrtle Grisiaffi of Jeanerette. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Corey C. Hebert, Wayne P. Latiolais, II, Brandon J. Latiolias, Taylor P. Schoen and Tiffany Angelle Sonnier and her great grandchild, Andre Sonnier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Broussard; her parents, Honore Landry and Mathilde Landry Landry; her brother, Edmond Landry and her sisters, Eunice L. Ladouceur and Marjorie Landry. Pallbearers will be Corey Hebert, Wayne Latiolais, Brandon Latiolais, Taylor Schoen, Jacque Derouen and Thomas Schoen. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost St. (337) 276-5151 is in charge of arrangements.
