Jeanerette- Private Memorial services will be held for Carl Bowman McLeod III, age 54, who passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 3:40PM at his residence. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. McLeod was a hard working man, who enjoyed doing yardwork, helping others and loved being around his friends and family. He was intelligent, multi-skilled and mechanically inclined; a Jack of All Trades kind of guy.

Carl is survived by his sister, Bunice McLeod Smith and husband Dale of Charenton; his brother, Olen R. McLeod, Sr. and wife Carla of Franklin; an aunt, Shirley F. Duhon of Jeanerette; his nephews, Dale Smith, Jr. of New Iberia; Dusty Smith of Charenton; and Olen McLeod, Jr. of Lafayette; his godchild, Gage McLeod of Franklin; and his nieces, Ariel McLeod of Lafayette; and Duncan McLeod of Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl B. Mac McLeod and Adley Fitch McLeod, his niece, Kiley Smith, his maternal grandparents, Rillius Fitch and Aminthe Bonin Fitch, and his paternal grandparents, Carl Bowman McLeod and and Bunice Hudson McLeod Day.
