I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again. "William Penn. Hazel, died August 27, 2010, leaving those she touched in the 82 years she walked this earth a bit kinder and gentler. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Wilmer, who took ardent and loving care of her during her declining health. Also left behind to mourn this witty, fun-loving, and selfless woman, are her children: daughter, Linda LeBlanc of Indianapolis; daughter, Sharlene Dubois of Youngsville and her husband, Harvey; and son, Tim LeBlanc of Houston and his wife Kassey; two grandchildren, Ryan Faulk and Nicole LeBlanc, and three great grandchildren, Nicholas Faulk, Payton LeBlanc, and Nora Faulk. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luah Lulu Landry and Laura Landry Boudreaux, her beloved brother, B.J. Doux Landry, her darling granddaughter, Heather LeBlanc, and her beautiful infant granddaughter, Michelle LeBlanc. Her kindness was equally matched by a wit and a surprisingly mischievous nature. She loved to read and educate, and many received articles she cut out of newspapers and magazines that she felt would help them in their lives. She loved music, in particular Big Band, Patsy Cline and Ray Charles, and could cut a rug with the best of them. A fond memory of those who knew her was the vision of her swing dancing with her brother. She had a curious mind, enjoyed traveling, entertainment, and experiencing historical venues. She and Wilmer enjoyed a private tour of the White House, the sites of our nations capital, attended a NYC Broadway Play, toured downtown Chicago, and soaked in entertainment in Branson, MO. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, and her fondest memory and experience was she and Wilmers 50th wedding anniversary at Disney World. The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt appreciation for all family and friends who visited Hazel and remembered her in their prayers. The family would like to thank her caregivers, in particular, Betty Broussard of Franklin, Brenda Gage of Abbeville, Concept of Care, and St. Theresa Hospice Care for their compassion and care during her last months. She leaves a hole in our hearts, and will be so missed. David Funeral Home of Erath, 209 E. Putnam St. (337) 937-0405 is in charge of arrangements.
