Youngsville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Norman Frederick, the former Patsy Sellers, 69, will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton. Reverend Louis Richard, Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and conduct the funeral services. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 5:00PM until 10:00PM and on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 8:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 8:00AM until service time. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Mausoleum in Milton. A native and resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Frederick died at 4:28AM on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Patsy was employed by the Council on Aging as a secretary in Lafayette and as the Director in Abbeville for many years. She enjoyed spending time at the camp with her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Norman Frederick; daughters, Darlene F. Ayme and her husband Kevin, and Dawn Frederick; sons, Duane Frederick and his wife Karen and Derek Frederick and his wife Tracy, all of Youngsville; five grandchildren, Monique and A.J. Ayme of Youngsville, and Christopher, Kayla and Rene Frederick, all of Milton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dulva and Nellies Decou Sellers. Pallbearers will be Duane Frederick, Derek Frederick, Johnny Decou, Kevin Ayme, A.J. Ayme and Raywood Menard. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher J. Frederick and Rene J. Frederick. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of Heart of Hospice and also the staff on the third floor at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical for their loving and tender care of Mrs. Frederick and her family during this difficult time.
