Eldridge Paul Theriot

Visitation will be on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 PM.

Known to some as Son or Mr. T , Mr. Theriot was born in Iberia Parish and was a longtime resident of New Iberia. He died on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010 at 2:30 PM at his residence. He retired from New Iberia National Bank where he was a Loan Officer for 47 years. Having the ability to speak French, he was able to relate to and establish a rapport with many people hedealt with during his banking career. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1208 andthe 4th Degree Monsignor J. M. Langlois Assembly. After retirement he enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves Baseball Team, Wheel of Fortune and playing Dominos.

He is survived by his children, Cynthia Theriot Galbraith and her husband Bruce of Metairie, Susan Theriot Gosnell and her husband Miles of Broussard, Eldridge P. Theriot, Jr. and his wife Madgie of Lake Charles, Wayne M. Theriot of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Bertha L. Theriot, Roland J. Theriot both of New Iberia and Thomas R. Theriot and his wife Lois of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Eldridge Paul Theriot, III and his wife Lisette of Topanga, CA, Mary Kristine Kristi Theriot Turner and her husband Rayceof Houston, TX and Joseph P. Galbraith of Starkville, MS and his great grandchildren, Anna and Ruby Theriot both of Topanga, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Louise Laperouse; his parents, Fernest J. Theriot and Cora Audibert Theriot; his son, Robert James Monk Theriot and his brother, Clarence P. "Terry"Theriot.

Pallbearers will be Eldridge Paul Theriot, Jr., Wayne M. Theriot, Roland J. Theriot, Thomas R. Theriot, Eldridge Paul Theriot, III and Joseph P. Galbraith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Bruce Galbraith, D. Miles Gosnell, III, Jeffery T. Wofford and David Theriot.
