Erath " Funeral Services for Leo Joseph Duplantis, 69, will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, September 17, 2010 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Erath with Fr. Mayne officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum. Mr. Leo a native of Erath and a resident of Abbeville died at 8:06AM on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at his residence. He was known for his enjoyment of fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He was survived by his three daughters, Grace Cruz of Houston, TX, Nancy Castleberry of Crockett, TX, and Carla Duplantis of Crockett, TX; two sisters, Shirley Choate and Margie Romero both of Erath; a brother, Reno Duplantis of Erath; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odeus and Etta Landry Duplantis; a son, Curtis Paul Duplantis; and a sister, Joyce Marie Duplantis. Serving as pallbearers will be members of his friends and family. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St. (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
