Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Joseph Willis Romero, 92, at 12:00PM on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Herb Bennerfeld officiating. Visitation will begin on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 8:00AM until the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native and resident of Vermilion Parish, Mr. Willis passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at a local healthcare facility. He loved gardening and always kept his yard clean. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Ronney Romero and wife Alicia Marie and Charles Dale Romero and wife Diane, all of Erath; six grandchildren, Dana Louise Harrington and husband David, Tara Lynn Faulk and husband Dustin, Kimberly Rae LeBlanc and husband Brandon, Dalen Charles Romero, Haley Elizabeth Romero and Mary Lynn Romero, all of Erath; four step-grandchildren, Ann Claudia Zufall and husband Jim, Amy Marie Rogers and husband Colton, Mary Lynn Toups and John Allen Toups; nine great-grandchildren, Alaina Harrington, Quentin Harrington, Gabrielle Harrington, Emily Harrington, Alexa Faulk, Layne Faulk, Bren Faulk, Brayden Broussard and Spence Romero; five step-great-grandchildren, Nicka LeBlanc, Morgan LeBlanc, Gabrielle LeBlanc, Kara Boutte and Macy Rogers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Lange Romero; his parents, Odileon and Nita LeBlanc Romero; his brother, Frank Felix Romero; and his sisters, Enola Lange and Solange Touchet. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronney Romero, Dale Romero, Rodney Broussard, Dalen Romero, David Harrington and Dustin Faulk. Honorary pallbearers will be Rudy Lange and Brandon LeBlanc.
