Abbeville- Funeral Services will be held for Margaret Lena Veillon, 94, at 10:30AM Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville with Fr. Thomas Mayne Pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Monday until 8:00 PM with a recessional of the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM, visitation will resume Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services. Interment will follow the services at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Abbeville, LA. Mrs. Veillon passed away on Saturday November 30, 2013. A native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Abbeville, LA Mrs. Veillon was employed by the Vermilion Parish School Board as a Elementary School Teacher for many years. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn V. and her husband Jerry Barber of Lafayette; her sons Ronnie and his wife Brenda Veillon of Abbeville, and David and his wife Dena Veillon of Baton Rouge; her grandchildren Matthew and his wife Christine Barber of Denham Springs, Patrick and his wife Marilyn Veillon of Fairfax VA., Michelle and her husband Brian Lewandowski of Baton Rouge, Jonathan and his wife Aimee Barber of Broussard, and Lindsay Veillon; eight great grandchildren; her sister Lula Mae Thomassee of Breaux Bridge; and her brother in law James Champagne of West Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Veillon and her parents, Maurice and Loretta Hollier Ledoux; her sister Sybil Champagne.
