Maureen Morris Rogers

Lydia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Claude Rogers, the former Maureen Morris, 65, on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 1:00 PM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 31, 2014, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 8:00 AM until service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 PM.

A native of Weeks Island and a resident of Lydia, Mrs. Rogers died on Monday, January 27, 2014, at 4:25 PM in a Lafayette hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Claude Rogers of Lydia; her son, Rusty James Rogers of Lydia; her granddaughter, Mykenzie Rose Demitte of Lafayette; her nieces, Michelle Morris of New Iberia and Anne Thibodeaux and her husband Rusty of Lydia and her nephew, Christopher Morris and his wife Dawn of Lydia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold J. Morris and Bernadette Broussard Morris; her brother, Michael Morris and her sister, Carole Morris.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Rogers, Rusty Thibodeaux, Travis Thibodeaux, Christopher Morris, Anne Thibodeaux and Michelle Morris.
