Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Alex LeBlanc the former May Gesser, Age 93 at 1:30PM Tuesday November 16, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday November 16, 2010 from 9:30AM until service time with a Rosary being prayed at 11:00AM. A native of Loreauville and longtime resident of Jeanerette Mrs. Leblanc died Sunday November 14, 2010 at 10:20AM in a Lafayette health care facility. Mrs. Leblanc was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survivors include her son, Ronald Skipper LeBlanc Sr. of Jeanerette; grandchildren, Stephanie LeBlanc Miller of Phoenix, Arizona, Jill Margaret LeBlanc of Lafayette, Kathryn May LeBlanc and Ronald Alexander LeBlanc Jr. both of Austin, Texas; great grandchildren, Dylan Cross, Michael, Santos and Ruby Miller; nephews and nieces, Wallace Billy A. Gesser, Jr., Herman Gesser Jr., Gerald and Byron Gesser, Johnny and Barry LeBlanc, June Voorhies, Faye Parsley, Barbara Ann Sorrel, Gwendolyn Latiolais, Robert Wimberley, Jacqueline Sumrall, Geralyn Watts, Paul LeBlanc and Louise Charpentier. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years; Alex LeBlanc; parents, Emile and Oudia Boutte Gesser; two brothers, Wallace A. Gesser Sr. and Herman Gesser Sr. and two sisters, Marguerite Wimberley and Mildred Kern. Pallbearers will be family and friends. David Funeral Home, 400 Provost St. Jeanerette, La.
