Katherine "Kathy" Gondron Eldridge

A native and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Eldridge died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 5:15pm in a Lafayette hospital. In her younger years, Kathy was an avid athlete, she played softball and basketball; she also played the trumpet and was a drum majorette for Loreauville High School. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music and dancing. Kathy truly lived life to the fullest; she loved her trips to the Colorado Mountains, but her most cherished times were those she spent at the beach.

Mrs. Eldridge is survived by her mother, Velma Granger Gondron of Loreauville; her sons, Fr. Darren Eldridge of Eunice; and John Eldridge and wife Dana of Dallas, TX; her daughters, Angie Eldridge Welton of Denver, CO; Kylie Eldridge Deslatte and husband Troy of Jacksonville, FL; and Kelly Eldridge of Loreauville; her sisters, Gail Louviere and husband Loto,Tressie Sonnier and husband Ricky, her brother, Gerard B-Boy Gondron, all of Loreauville; and her grandchildren, Kyri and Kayden Deslatte, Cameron and Lexie Welton, and Dailon and Malaine Eldridge.

Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by her husband, Darrel Eldridge, her father, Gilman, Gam Gondron, and her grandson, Kaisten Kasey Jordan Deslatte.

Serving as pallbearers will be Warren Louviere, John Eldridge, Gerard B-Boy Gondron, Troy Deslatte, Everette Logerman and Justin Sonnier.
