Erath-A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Theodore Germain Bares, Sr., 88, will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Paul Broussard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Mr. Bares a native of LeBlanc and a resident of Erath died at 2:00AM on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He served his country proudly during WWII and was a member of VFW Post 4158 and American Legion Post 279, and proud to have attended Louisiana Honor Air. He also was a retired rice and soy bean farmer. He is survived by two sons, Theodore Germain Bares, Jr. of Youngsville and Michael James Bares of Abbeville; two daughters, Moureen B. Ransonet of New Iberia and Evette B. LeBlanc of Erath; two brothers, Paul Bares of Youngsville and his twin Louis Theo Bares of Youngsville; two sisters, Thomassine Bares and Margaret Bares both of Erath; ten grandchildren, Kim Ransonet, April R. Gary, Tommy Ransonet, Jr., Dwight Ransonet, Torie L. Rudisill, Candace L. Trahan, Nicholas LeBlanc, Trent LeBlanc, Ervin Bares, and Jake Bares; and fifteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Germain and Edolie Frederick Bares; six brothers, Pierre Bares, Adier Bares, John Bares, Edvard Bares, Henry Bares, and Joseph Bares; three sisters, Irma Bares, Edith Bares, Elodie Bares Frederick; and a great grandchild, Stevie Nichole LeBlanc. Serving as pallbearers will be Nicholas LeBlanc, Trent LeBlanc, Kim Ransonet, Tommy Ransinet, Jr., Dwight Ransonet, Ervin Bares, and Jake Bares. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
